Jodi AndersonDear Fellow Writers,

Here it is 2012…do you know where your motivation is?  If not, let Pikes Peak Writers infuse you with fresh passion for the written word.  Together, we can help make 2012 the year you reach your writing goals.  How, you ask?

Did you by chance feel the earth shift a bit on its axis this week?  If not, you weren't paying close enough attention.  Here's what you missed:

Our Conference Director, Laura Hayden, flew in from out of state and together with her co-director, Chris Mandeville, held a ginormous Pikes Peak Writers Conference Steering Committee meeting to plan great things for PPWC 2012.  They also met with the staff of our conference hotel, the Colorado Springs Marriott, to discuss how the hotel will help make this year's conference one you will not want to miss.  We will continue to work diligently with the hotel, PPW volunteer staff, and faculty guests to make this conference the one to top all others.

Attendees of PPWC 2012 will meet some of the best and the brightest authors, editors,
and agents
from the world of publishing.  In line with our theme "Celebrating Twenty Years of Success," we are bringing in at least one faculty member from each of our previous 19
conferences
!  Returning faculty will include favorites like Robert Crais, Jeffery Deaver, Susan Wiggs, Donald Maass, and Kristin Nelson PLUS we're welcoming fantastic first-time guests like Joe Lansdale, Marie Lu and Carrie Vaughn.

According to feedback from previous attendees, our friendly, affordable and professional conference consistently exceeds expectations.  Editors and agents claim we have the best organized conference with some of the best-prepared attendees they've seen, plus Writer's Digest magazine ranked PPWC in the top ten writers' conferences in the country.

The conference will be held April 20 -22, 2012 with the additional add-on option of attending a
full-day workshop on Thursday, April 19.  Mark your calendar and jump on-line to register now.  Space is limited, and appointments for pitches and Read & Critique are filled first-come,
first served.

We hope you will make your writing a priority this year!  Set some writing goals and let PPW help you attain them through great programming at our Write Brains (including some online), industry and craft information on our blog, advice and support at Open Critique, resources on our website, and the company of fellow writers at monthly social gatherings at Poor Richard's bookstore in Colorado Springs and online via our Yahoo Group.  Top it off by attending PPWC 2012 where you can experience all this and more in a weekend devoted to being a writer.

Check back often for new information about PPWC 2012 and our other upcoming programs.

Happy Writing,

Jodi Anderson
